Perfect Formula to a Day’s Shopping

Perfect Formula for SellingRoger Bird, a mathematician with the Bradford Education Authority in Britain has apparently arrived at a mathematical formula that can explain the essential ingredients for a perfect day’s shopping.

Without going into the formula (which actually made no sense to me at all anyway), it’s well worth everyone of us in business and sales to not only consider but try to create a formula for the ‘perfect buying experience’ for each and every customer who walks into our business, or for each and every client or prospect we meet.

One of the potential ‘off ramps’ that buyers can take to steer them away from a purchase is when their initial buying experience does not match what they hoped they would experience. It could be the way they’re greeted, the questions or lack of questions they’re asked, it could be the environment, or a range of elements.

Business owners and salespeople across all industries need to try and understand how each customer wants to buy and create opportunities early for their clients to experience an environment where they will be comfortable and confident to make any buying decision.
